Historical Death Railway Tour in Kanchanaburi

Step out of the busy streets of Thailand’s modern metropolises and spare a day visiting the historical but picturesque town of Kanchanaburi!

Kanchanaburi is famous for the Death Railway and the eminent River Kwai Bridge built in World War II, located around 2.30 hours away from Bangkok. Due to the ambition of the imperial Japanese army, the Death Railway linking Thailand with Burma was constructed, costing thousands of prisoner’s sacrifices. Beneath the serene beauty, Kanchanaburi offers the horrendous history created by the blood and sweat of slave laborers.

During the trip, you will learn more about life in Asia during World War II at the JEATH War Museum. Afterward, get a chance to ride on the famous Burma Railway, also known as the “Death Railway”. Go sightseeing on the Bridge over the River Kwai, also built by Japanese prisoners of war during World War II, then visit the Tham Krasea Buddha Cave and find a Buddha statue surrounded by beautiful nature.
